With reference to paragraph 7 of your
letter No. 21135/1904 of the 23rd ultimo, on the
subject of Military lands at Sywan Hill, Hong Kong,
I am commanded by the Army Council to transmit to you
as requested, for record in the Colonial Office, an
additional copy of each of the two plans forwarded with War Office letter Hong Kong 8/173 (I.G.F.1.) of the
13th June 1904.
2. With regard to paragraph 6 of the above quoted
letter I am to state, for the information of Mr.
Secretary Lyttelton, that the exclusive occupation of the land indicated by the red chain-dotted line is required
by this Department, but that so much of the land coloured
yellow as is not included in the area indicated by the
red chain-dotted line will continue to be Military
Reserve.
3. I am to add that a further communication will
be addressed to you with respect to the other points
dealt with in your letter under reply.
